In recent years, we’ve seen a couple of boats in the Technic theme, two of which have sails. These boats were rather small and didn’t call to my attention. When 42174-1 Emirates Team New Zealand AC75 Yacht was announced, I had a similar reaction. The scale seemed to be the same, so the set probably doesn’t have much news to offer. Then I noticed the part count, with 962 parts more than double than that of the previous boat.
