LEGO Community Headlines and Highlights for October 2025

October brought no shortage of great LEGO content from around the globe! Here at BrickNerd, we started the month by providing a Spiderman-themed spider model for Halloween and ended it with instructions for a cute ghost trick-or-treater. We had some fun with Wednesday sets, and learned about customizing a real-world motorcycle with LEGO, and cracked the secret code of LEGO castle sets.

We looked at removing printing from LEGO elements to create a new minifig look and investigated how minifigure keychains are constructed to repair a sentimental keepsake. We checked in with our FLL team, sent a castle to space, doubled down on developing a LEGO style, and learned more than we ever wanted to know about LEGO clowns.

In fact, we’ve published so many interesting articles in October that we’ve included an interactive calendar of them at the bottom of this post, so you can make sure you haven’t missed a thing. But there are many more fascinating stories to be told from within the LEGO community, so here are some of the best LEGO articles and videos that caught our contributors’ attention throughout the month of October. We applaud the effort that went into each of these features, so click on the headlines or photos to head to each story or video. They are well worth your time!

ABrickDreamer: This Week in Bricks

The usual assortment of noteworthy MOCs in Davide’s weekly roundup includes a number of buildings this week. I especially enjoyed how color is so important in many of these models, and not just shape. One of the featured MOCs showed up in my Flickr feed this week, reaffirming that these videos are truly current content!

Brick Fanatics: What Happened at LEGO’s Fan Media Days 2025

Have you ever wondered what happens at LEGO Fan Media Days in Denmark? From the LEGO House to LEGO Campus, take a look at some behind-the-scenes videos to put you in the center of the action.

Brickcrafts: My Massive LEGO Airport is Finally Complete!

One of my early AFOL interests was collecting minifigure-scale LEGO aircraft and the first airport terminal set. My children and I spent many fun hours playing together with these models. While I did some simple expansions to the collection, I never dreamt of taking it to this level!

DuckBricks: LEGO Inside Tour Sets

Longtime readers will be aware of my interest (obsession) with the unique LEGO Inside Tour (LIT) sets. In this video, Chris takes an in depth look at several of the sets he has purchased (contrary to the title!) in the aftermarket. Each of the highlighted sets has been opened and built, and not just kept sealed for display.

Henry Moyerman: The Brick Sculptor

Now for something a little different, Henry has some wonderful photographs of his minimalist LEGO sculptures. While he’s not a trained architect, he definitely has an eye for the lines, forms and textures that are fundamental elements of architecture. His works were featured earlier in the month at the St. Louis Artists’ Guild.

Nate From the Internet: Printing a Life-Sized LEGO Castle – Walls are Closing In!

This video snuck in last month as the second part of a double feature. But it was likely overlooked by many readers and is worth highlighting on its own, especially as this giant 3D castle starts coming together.

RacingBrick: LEGO Technic’s Spirit Is Dying – Bring Back Racers to Save It!

In this video, Balazs makes a convincing case that the Technic theme has quite possibly strayed from its roots. The proliferation of cars and licensed models has been accompanied by a general reduction in the core mechanical functions that were the foundation of the Technic theme.
