A few weeks ago, we put out a call looking for new Contributors to join our team of LEGO-minded writers. And we want to remind you all, as the applications trickle in, that the search continues and it’s not too late to throw your hat into the ring. If you’re interested in helping us out with 3-5 articles each week covering the best built models on the web, please read on for what we’re looking for and how to apply. Thanks!
Contributor
Featuring the fantastic LEGO creations from adult builders around the globe is the primary focus of TBB. If you know nice parts usage when you see it, or just get a kick out of the creations we highlight, then this might be the position for you.
We’re looking for an individual with the following background and skillset:
Strong writing skills
An ability to contribute three to five articles per week that highlight the builders and their LEGO creations
Up to date with both LEGO products and the fan community
Strong commitment to diversity and inclusion
A team player able to collaborate with other members to share workload and responsibilities across different time zones
Willing to learn HTML and the use of WordPress (even better if you’re already familiar!)
Willing to learn and pick up new skills to improve the quality of our content.
Optional: Assist with generating visual assets for the website
All TBB team roles are unpaid — The Brothers Brick is run by a bunch of passionate volunteers who write about LEGO in their spare time. All money the site earns passively through the support of our loyal readers (via our affiliate links) goes toward server and bandwidth costs, sponsoring contests and fan events like BrickCon and Japan Brickfest, and helping out the LEGO fan community wherever we can.
Even though all roles are volunteer positions, being a TBB Contributor provides a genuine opportunity to participate in one of the top hobby sites in the world. If you don’t have prior web writing experience, you’ll have the chance to learn or improve on tangible professional skills such as writing for the web, headline writing, search engine optimization, editing, and graphic design. And within the LEGO community, we have several TBB alumni who have gone on to work for or with the LEGO Group, or appear on LEGO Masters.
To apply for any of the roles, please use our standard contributor application form and indicate which role you’re interested in.
