Today we are celebrating the return of these two rascals, Mando and Grogu. And what better day for it? The Mandalorian & Grogu hits theaters today, so if you’re reading this before your screening, consider this your warm-up. If you’re reading it after, no spoliers!
May is usually a Star Wars month, full of stuff happening all over the world, including LEGO contests. This year we have quite a few and you can check all of them in our LEGO Contest Round-Up.
One of those contests caught my attention, first with its name: Glup Bricko. Fun fact, in Bulgarian glup is the root word for fool or stupid. I’m not that deep into Star Wars lore, but if you want to understand the name better, do a quick search on Glup Shitto. And if you’re hearing it for the first time, don’t worry. Not a real character, you haven’t missed anything, and honestly, the name is funnier without the context.
The official Glup Bricko, True Jedi Prize!
The other thing I love about this contest are the trophies. They are beautifully crafted by the one and only Tom Loftus (Instagram/Flickr). There are five revealed so far, and I want them all! Before we get into the build, go take a look at what Tom made. It’s what inspired my guys, and there’s a lot of awesome there.

Instructions to Build The Mandalorian and Grogu
We’re starting with Baby Yoda first. Small, chubby, very cute. As it should be. Then the build progresses to Mando himself!
You can download the full parts list for Mando and Grogu here and import it directly to BrickLink. (Parts lists are an XML file that can be uploaded to BrickLink or Stud.io.)
Now I only need to start building for Glup Bricko and eventually the other Star Wars contests too! 😀
Do you have plans to build for any of the Star Wars contests? Or for any of the other upcoming contests?
