2023 LEGO Advent Calendars, Day 14 [Feature]

Do you hear that, readers? That’s the sound of Christmas getting ever closer! And what better way to count down to the big day than with day 14 of TBB’s LEGO advent calendar roundup? That’s just what we’re doing, so why not join us as we open up the City, Friends, Star Wars, Harry Potter and Marvel calendars on offer this year?

As ever, our intrepid TBB team is on hand with witty comments, insightful observations, and bad jokes for each day’s builds. And of course, you can add your own thoughts in the comments section each day! So without further ado, let’s crack open the build for day 14…

We’ve had a bit of a break from animals in the Friends calendar, but we’re back to it with a kitten who looks rather content. I wonder if that’s because City’s day 14 minifigure has a treat for it?

Today’s Endor Leia minifigure is also holding a snack for someone. Harry Potter’s build looks like the end of a bar. The Marvel offering is shown with Okoye from yesterday donning the hockey gear, so I guess these are her Christmas presents!

Bart: Leia looks better in the brick than she does on the box!

Ben: It’s a great way of getting the Leia figure for those who missed the diorama- the City girl will look great in any city scene.

Daniel: Love the City girl hair/hat combo… But why is there a bunny with the hockey scene?

Lino: Leia says you’ll like her cookies or else.

Kyle: In Leia’s defense, they do make great chocolate chip cookies on the forest moon of Endor.

Is it just me, or is there a very Iron Man-centric theme this year for the Marvel calendar?

Now that you mention it, Kyle, there does seem to be a lot of dark red and gold – but then again, those colours would make Iron Man the most Christmassy of Avengers. Maybe Okoye’s presents are from Mr Stark? She does at least have someone to practice her hockey against!
